Nov 22 Youth Forum Presents...2 Parents Nights Out

Fridays, December 4 and 11, 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. @ Plymouth
3 NEW features

Are you in need of some time alone on a December Friday night?  Maybe you want to get started on your Christmas shopping or catch a movie?  Either way, Plymouth’s high school youth have you covered.  Come bring your babies, children or even your middle-schooler to Plymouth where we will feed and play with them; even change diapers or put on PJs and get them settled for bed.  A slice of time, free downtown parking, and knowing your $30/family donation sends Plymouth teens to the Heifer Project   Learning Center in March 2010?  It’s a great deal!

NEW THIS YEAR:  [1] Extended hours until 10:00 p.m.  [2] Two rooms - downstairs for those 6 months–10 years old, with food + entertainment appropriate to their age. Upstairs for the 11-14 year crowd with a slightly different menu and an age appropriate movie.  [3] To ensure we have enough care providers we ask for your RSVPs to cmaclay@plymouthchurchseattle.org by Saturday November 28 and December 5, respectively.

Game Night + Silent Auction
Saturday, January 23, 2010, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.

This year the Youth Forum Ministry’s main social function and FUNdraiser is an intergenerational Game Night and Silent Auction.  Come join in the fun for dinner, games suited to ALL ages, and a silent auction for items and services.  Do you enjoy those delicious desserts?  Participate in the table dessert auction where everyone is a winner.

Plymouth’s youth are fun hosts.  Mark your calendars now for this social event benefiting a worthy cause: all proceeds send our youth on their mission trip to Heifer Project Learning Center in March 2010.  We look forward to seeing singles, young adults, families with babies and   children, middle agers, along with our beloved elders and sages.

More details as the date gets closer.  In the meantime if you have items or services to offer for the auction, please e-mail Cory at cmaclay@plymouthchurchseattle.org.

Nov 13 An Advent Tale

We are so excited that so many of you have been joining us in Focus these last few Sundays.  And if you haven’t, we hope you will join us soon. We have been working hard on an original musical: “An Advent Tale.” “An Advent Tale” is a musical with traditional and contemporary songs put together by focus leaders Heather Hawkins Weinland and Ann Allen. The story of advent is told through story, song, poetry, and dance. The focus actors will lead us on a journey through this waiting and expectant time helping all of us-of all ages prepare for the coming of the Messiah. It has been such a pleasure to work with focus and see this story come to life through the eyes of our young actors and singers-we look forward to sharing it with you in worship on December 13  at 11:00 a.m.

Nov 12 Discussion on Abrahamic Religions

The Adult Education Board invites you to a discussion about the three Abrahamic religions on Monday, December 7, from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. in the church library. This informal meeting is in response to persons who signed up for further discussion after attending a recent Plymouth Forum about the three religions having their roots in    Abraham, namely Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. For additional information contact Ed Geller (phone 206/232-3102, e-mail hanggel@aol.com).
