The Plymouth Adult Ed Forum is proud to announce that the February 14 Sunday morning Forum speaker will be Maestro Gerard Schwarz, who has led the prestigious Seattle Symphony Orchestra for the last 25 years.  

Maestro Schwarz will discuss Arts in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, as well as his viewpoint of highlights from his 25 years of leadership.

A few of the many selected achievements since Gerard Schwarz joined the Seattle Symphony include:

 

  • Maestro is the longest-serving current Music Director of any major orchestra
  • Over 125 acclaimed recordings, including 11 Grammy nominations
    Musical America’s 1994 Conductor of the Year
  • Received Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels Mayor’s Arts Award for contribution to the arts
  • Instrumental in the creation of Benaroya Hall from fundraising to acoustics
  • Created Composer in Residence, participants have included Albert, Stock, Danielpour, Sheng, Jones and Diamond
