David Shinn

Minister of Parish Life and Outreach

I am a trans-generational Asian American whose faith and life begins from Taiwan. I have spent time traveling up and down the eastern coast of US, and since 2003, have resided here in Seattle by the call of this inspiring church. Along this journey, many have shared and taught me much, such as fellow disciples who started campus ministry and church groups with me, and mentors who walked along side with me with their prayers and heartfelt encouragement. I received my BA in philosophy and history from Emory, M. Div. from Princeton Seminary and CPE from Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. dshinn@plymouthchurchseattle.org

Jan 15 Anderson Ostrem, Kristine

Kristine Anderson Ostrem

Minister of Christian Formation

A Northwesterner by birth and at heart, school was back East (Muhlenberg College, Yale), and some years were spent overseas (South Africa, Hong Kong). After teaching and/or being chaplain at universities (Colgate University, SPU), I have lived out my call here at Plymouth. The heart of my personal ministry is to listen for God in Scripture, tradition and life, then walk alongside others, encouraging vocation and asking the questions: “Where is God in all of this? What difference does faith make?”
