Service

Plymouth Church members are committed to living out their faith through both personal involvement and financial support. Members volunteer in many community-based organizations, from the Recovery Cafe to Mary's Place to the Emergency Feeding Program. Issues of justice and equality get attention through groups such as the Crossing Borders Ministry Team, the Peace Action Group, and the Living Wage Ministry.

Our commitment is evident not only in the personal involvement of our members, but also in the way we share our resources. Each year, Plymouth sets aside 25% of the previous year¹s membership pledges to support to service and action, and in addition, we gather special offerings dedicated to urgent needs. In 2008, we contributed nearly a quarter of a million dollars to the work of non-profit organizations focusing on homelessness, hunger, children & youth, and economic justice. These organizations are our partners in building a more just and caring community here in Seattle as well as the world beyond.
